Tag Team Tournament Match: Derrick Bateman & Alex Riley v. Kassius Ohno & Leo Kruger
: Derrick Bateman started off the match with Leo Kruger, Bateman used the arm drag take down to gain control of the match with Kruger. Derrick tagged in Alex Riley but Leo fled over to tag in Kassius Ohno.
: Riley tagged in Bateman without Ohno knowing and Derrick drop kicked Kassius and went for the cover but only for a two count.
: Bateman, who missed the last four months, used all that frustration on Kruger and forced him back into a neutral corner. Derrick miss stepped and seemed to re injure his knee.
: Kassius took full advantage, working well with his partner to work on Bateman’s legs.
: Derrick finally got to Alex Riley who immediately came in took out Ohno with a great arm drag take down, followed by the cover but Kruger came back in to make the save.
: Derrick came to his partner’s aid and close lined Kruger over the top rope along with himself. Back in the ring Kassius was up first and dropped Riley down, applied a submission move and forced Riley to tap out.
: After the match Corey Graves entered the ring and applied the 13th Step to Riley until the referee forced him to let go.
: In my opinion all four of these men could work the main roster. Especially Kassius Ohno and Derrick Bateman, they both have a great look and know their way around a wrestling ring.
: In an interview earlier in the day Big E Langston was asked about Connor O’Brian and their match next week. Langston said if O’Brian won’t respect the ‘Five Count’ then he would put him to sleep permanently.
: If Big E is going to stay on the NXT Roster and show each week when will he start portraying his heel character he does with Dolph Ziggler and AJ? I mean Seth Rollins was doing his Shield work while still the NXT Champion and number one face of NXT until dropping the title to Langston.
Sakamoto v. Mason Ryan
: Basically a squash, but it’s not like you didn’t see that coming. I haven’t seen Mason Ryan in…someone remind me. Anyways the steroid look has come and gone, it’s a new era in the WWE, with the exception of Ryback. Ryan is a guy who maybe should have hit the unemployment twitter plugs long before Trent ? had to.
: Backstage Xavier Woods was dancing around listening to a walkman, of all things right? He was asked about his match next week with El Local (Ricardo Rodriguez). Woods said he wasn’t concerned and his focus was on his cool walkman and his pager, ending the promo with “It’s cheaper to beep her.”
Divas Match: Aksana v. Paige
: Aksana forced Paige against the ropes and pushed the Anti Diva over the top rope. She followed Paige outside and rubbed her elbow into the face of Paige.
: Aksana used several submission moves trying to get Paige to tap but to no avail. Paige fought back and applied a submission move forcing Aksana to tap out.
: After the match Summer Rae, the NXT ring announcer attacked Paige.
: Backstage Sasha Banks talked about her first win in NXT last week over Alicia Fox. She was handed a letter from a secret admirer and walked away happy. And you thought Vegas Karaoke on Raw was bad, watch this.
Tag Team Tournament Match: Michael McGillicutty & Bo Dallas v. Epico & Primo
: The two teams battled back and forth throughout the match, either of them could gain total control.
: Both McGillicutty and Epico were on the mat as the two teams continued to jockey for position until Michael tagged in Dallas.
: Bo was on fire taking down Primo several times until Epico distracted Bo and Primo DDT’d Dallas but somehow Bo kicked out before the three count.
: Out of nowhere Dallas power bombed Primo and sent his team to the semi finals of the Tag Team Tournament.
